For all sorts of reasons life can feel tough. And sometimes we need to find someone outside of our friends, family or partner to talk to.
I have long experience of working with people one-to-one in different contexts, experience which I draw on now in my counselling. The approach I use itself draws on different models so that I can use whatever seems most appropriate and useful to you.
I have worked with people struggling with many different difficulties eg depression, anxiety, anger, suicidal thoughts, sexual and emotional abuse, self-harm, social unease, grief …..or a general sense of something just not being right. And the people I have counselled have come from different walks of life as well as from religious and ethnic minorities.
Deciding on the ‘right’ counsellor can feel a bit daunting so I offer the first session free. This gives you a chance for us to meet and for you to see what that is like for you.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and practise within the framework of their ethical guidelines.
I am also a registered member of the Scottish PVG (disclosure) scheme.
